I am absolutely tickety boo, ta!! I am leaving for Scotland at 5am for two weeks of nothing other than utter relaxation (although still not convinced on the sleeping in a tent in a field thing, getting too old for all that). Still the camp fire is always a giggle, although must make mental note to self not to melt my boots this year!!!!!!

I'm giving the A1 a miss this year (roadworks from Stamford to Blyth!), Chris. So its A14 followed by 179 dreary miles of the M6 before I hit the A74.

I am sure at 5am, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire's finest will be either having a morning cuppa or still dealing with the pile of paperwork from the night before!!! They are normally quite good to me anyway. (thank God!!!! lol).

pmsl at flame proof wellies. My hiking boots have never been the same since I sat almost on top of the fire and stuck my feet on the rocks surrounding it to dry them off. I could smell something funny, but in our whisky induced confusion it took us an age to work out it was my boots melting!!!
