There is meant to be a big science experiment on next week in which they are trying to create a mini big bang(called hadron something). Has anyone foretold the end of the world around that time as it sound a little bit mental to me. Note; I've put a question in science section to get the theory behind it.

:o) Good question, Flobadob. You're talking about the forthcoming Cern experiment. which is designed to replicate the conditions that existed shortly after the Big Bang. I don't know the answer to your question, but it will make for interesting investigation.
The Hadron Collider

Some are claiming Hadron was predicted by Nostradamus
oh crap that doesn't sound very good Ethel.....we're all doomed :(

seriously i've spoken to my fiance about this and he says there is nothing to worry about, according to him what they are trying to do, happens to our planet naturally in space anyway, so.........according to him there is nothing to worry about.
And your fianc is Stephen Hawking?

:)
no Brad Pitt :)
Oh.

Well we must be safe if Brad says so.

Which quatrain are they applying it to, Ethel?
Oh-No-NoKnow, that's the Mayan prophecy that talks about 2012. There's a book called The Crystal Skull that takes the prophecy and puts it into a story if you're interested. There's also a Spanish bloke in there.
Those bl00dy hadrons sound pretty dangerous to me. let;s round them all up especially the large ones!

Oh no, I'm worried about what Oh know said because I asked this in the science section also and someone said if it does go haywire it'll take 4 years to start sucking the earth into itself, then the rest of the universe, eeek - 2012.
Cults ? There's something wrong with your spelling, mate.
Flobadob, if it happens (which I very much doubt), there's nothing we can do about it, so why worry? Let's throw a party!!

(I think it's a fantastic experiment).

Question Author
Yes, as Apu would say, let us party like it is on sale for 19.99.
And I'll bet next week all those people saying that Nostradamus predicted great disasters from the LHC will tell you that you misunderstood what they said!

Strangely they always do!

I am so going to enjoy all these links next week!
This, apparently, is the quatrain that refers to this experiment.

Nostradamus quatrain 9 44:

Leave, leave Geneva every last one of you,
Saturn will be converted from gold to iron,
"Raypoz" will exterminate all who oppose him,
Before the coming the sky will show signs.

'Before the coming the sky will show signs'? Does he mean all this rain? It's the only thing I've seen in the skies lately!
Wonder who 'Raypoz' is?
Question Author
The only thing linking that quatrain to this is the name Geneva and that guy named a lot of places so it had to pop up sometime.
Had a quick Google, and the nearest I can get to Raypoz, without trawling through mounds of pages, is that he is the Third Antichrist (I didn't know there was more than one!), the Taker of Light, and Lord of Asia. Sounds rather far removed from Geneva!

Oo-er ..... could Nostradamus have it wrong? No ..... surely not! :o)
