Am I alone in thinking he will totally spoil this excellent and festive movie with his silly and incredibly unfunny facial expressions and annoying voice?

not at all, Im not a Jim Carrey fan at all.

Bill Murray however has become legendary in Ground Hog Day as far as I am concerned. Brilliant movie.

But, yes, his Scrooge was rather poor.

My own personal favourite is actually Albert Finny in the musical one.

depends how he plays it. He was very subtle and not at all gurning in The Truman Show and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

The best Scrooge is Alistair Sim all the way, never been surpassed.
