Why did the series Dark Skies end so abrubtly and was the actress who played star treks 7 of 9 in it.

"Dark Skies" actually made a whole season (rare for Sci-Fi), but was not renewed in the US due to low ratings/high costs. Jeri "7 of 9" Ryan joined the cast just after the 1/2 way point in the season.

JT Walsh also died not long after completing Dark Skies as well.
