marlon dingle, emmerdale

I'm sure I saw Marlon, (Mark Charnock), in an old episode of "Minder" recently, Jack Sugden, (Clive Hornby), was in the same episode. Can anyone verify this please.

Clive Hornby was in an episode in 1979. Think I have seen clips of him in it but it doesn't look as if Mark Charnock has been in it and he would only have been a school kid then anyway.

thank you barney, you're probably right, perhaps he was his older brother, ha ha.

Mark was born in 1968.

The original Minder series (with Dennis Waterman as Terry McCann) ran from 1979 to 1989, so he could have been old enough to take an adult role in the later episodes, but as far as I can see he did not.

�New� Minder (with Gary Webster as Ray Daley) ran from 1991 to 1994 but as far as I know has never been repeated.

The only production of note apart from Emmerdale that Mark Charnock has appeared in is Cadfael, where he played Brother Oswin.

thank you judge, I found mark charnock on wikipedia, and, as you say, he was in cadfael, but no mention of Miinder

Thanks spudqueen, the character,"drunken youth", was played by Tony London, ???....If you get the chance to see this episode again I hope you can see the resemblence to Mark Charnock.
