Considering that they are employed by the BBC and thus effectively we are their bosses, should they be sacked for their disgraceful and shameful behaviour toward Andrew Sachs. Until now I have found JR amusing at times although he can be too much and would prefer his not taking over shows in which he was a guest, whereas RB is to my way of thinking a complete waste of a life without any redeeming qualities whatsoever. I think they should be sacked immediately. Comments please.

I agree absolutely osprey. Never had time for J Ross, but i found R.Brand quite amusing and interesting when he did that Jack Kerouac roadtrip, but he's completely blown it for me. Sack the pair of them, i say x
Jonathan Ross is (reported to get ) paid 6 million a year.
WHY?????
Who would miss him if he were not on the telly?
Is he really worth THAT much?
couldnt agree more, how childish a prank to play, just shows the mentality of the pair, dont like jr cant understand the big price tag and as for rb where does the comedian tag come into play???
bullying should not be tolerated in any environment.
They are a couple of talentless a55h0les, they should be fired yes but so should the numpties at the BBC who allowed the show to go out. For that matter who at the BBC thinks Woss has enough talent to warrent 6m a year purlease his head should roll too for being a total eejit!

There is nothing wrong with using the F word after the watershed, and anyone listening to these two know what to expect and should not be offended. (As indeed they were not. The Sachs item had received no complaints until the tabloid press whipped the public into a frenzy).

However, having said that, they should be severely fined, sacked and barred from ever appearing on the TV and radio ever again because I do not like them.

People should vote against this pair of idiots by switching channels when Woss or Brand are on the telly or radio.
Lets hope Andrew Sachs will sue the both of them.
Problem is: the moment they're fired from the Beeb, they'll be hired by another TV company. They are, after all, the aces in the BBCs pack, which is why they've not yet been dismissed and may never be. And remember Richard Bacon, sacked from fronting Blue Peter after admitting taking Cocaine, swiftly employed by Channel 4 afterwards and now with a regular show on BBC Radio. If a sacking meant being cast into the wilderness forever, then fine, but all it counts for these days is a mild slap on the wrist and then a fantastic new contract elsewhere before the big return to Auntie.

wonder how they would have reacted had it been a daughter of theirs??
I believe the blame lies firmly with the 'producer' who went against the express request of Mr Sachs that the material not be broadcast - and the as yet unambed 'executive' who allowed the material to be broadcast, and the Controller or Radio 2, and the Director General of the BBC who, at the time of writing, remain shamefully silent.

They say 'investigations' are being carried out. This happened ten days ago - what the hell are they doing?
Gina if my daughter looked like her I would have wanted to emigrate - anywhere.
Yes sack the two of them from the BBC. Let them find work on the commercial channels especially Sky/Virgin etc that way people who find them funny can enjoy their type of humour without us all paying for it.
I think Russell Brand is a complete fool and Jonathan Ross has never been a favourite of mine. He is irritating when interviewing people and is just about tolerable on Film 2008.
Sack that producer as well. Whoever decided to broadcast the drivel is a moron.
It is bad enough they get on the TV but they bug me by being on Radio 2. This kind of stuff belongs on Radio 1 not Radio 2 - it is unfair to people who want to hear decent music be it contemporary pop, classic rock, folk or swing etc having to tolerate the silly row that is the JR show on Saturday mornings and the screaming noise that is Russell Brand on a Saturday night.
it was obviously ditressing for andrew sachs as he is now an elderly man of nearly 80 but its not up to the british public or bbc to decide j R AND R B FATE THAT IS DOWN TO ANDREW SACHS AND HIS GRAND DAUGHTER
Apparently the BBC producer concerned was a mere 25 years old, perhaps influenced quite heavily by Ross over this. However, I agree with Andy, the higher ranked executive who allowed this to go ahead is the one who should carry the most blame.

Gromit. The use of the 'F' word is not the problem as I see it! It is heard everywhere these days. It's the personal content of what was said and the sensitivity of the subject matter to a person who had not given consent for this to be aired.

It was a prerecorded program.
over 1k complaints a swell, wonder what will happen
sorry, that should have said 10k
I haven't heard the item yet so I can't really comment on that. JR & RB are both good presenters whether you like them or not. It is not a job every one can do. The amount of money they earn is a seperate issue. As 'cutting edge' broadcasters, they are expected to push the boundaries...and face the flak when it hits the fan. As it was a pre-recorded show, decisions were made above their heads in terms of its broadcast. I feel sorrow for Mr. Sachs who was probably enjoying a well deserved retirement up to this point and still looking great on re-runs of Fawlty Towers. But hey, there are worse things happening in the world to worry about but at least it's stopped the radio going on about the bloody credit crunch all the time. Oh and by the way flipnflap, Richard Bacon is back on BBC2 again, standing in for Tim Lovejoy on Something for the Weekend
