I just wondered if I was the only person who thinks Shaun of the Dead is the funniest film this year.....
oh and I would'nt mind getting jiggy with Simon Pegg either..
:-)
I haven't got round in seeing it yet wendymae. From what i've heard from people in the work it's been all good.I don't have anything planned this weekend so maybe a trip to the video shop & rent it out.
I liked this film a lot. Not the funniest i've seen but I've always had a great love of zombies and to see comedy ones made a nice change. I absolutely loved the remake of Dawn of the Dead, especially the use of the Johnny Cash song.
I really enjoyed it as well...my fave bit (this doesn't give anything away to those who haven't seen it yet) is where the first two zombies appear in Shaun's back garden and he and his flatmate are chasing around trying to kill them...it's like comedy violence. After that it does get a bit scarier, although still funny. And I agree about Simon Pegg as well...not my usual type but funny men are very attractive :-)
Finally got round in seeing the movie last night.Sorry wendymae but i didn't think it was that great.Don't get me wrong there were some funny bits but in all i thought the movie was so so.I would maybe watch it again but i'd leave it for a few months until i did that.I do like the zombie movies i enjoyed the remake of Dawn Of The Dead.
can't stand the man myself. never really liked that film. real horror movies are much funnier. the mace to the face scene in Wishmaster for example. or the death scenes in Ichi the killer.
