I hope it is John.

If not, it suspect it will be Lisa.

I really didn't rate Cheri last night, though
Whatever annoys those Smug judges most.
Why oh why the public keep on voting for John Sergeant, I do not know!!!
He is absolutely useless on the dance floor.
I for one will not be voting for him at all.
It is supposed to be a dance contest, not an entertainment contest!! That is why the public keep on voting for him, because of the entertainment factor.
I agree with what the judges say.It is making a mockery of the better dancers who are competing.
Is there any way of stopping the public voting for John Sergeant I wonder?Maybe we will have to vote as many times for the other competitors perhaps.
Trouble is though, it's the public voting to keep him in so to a certain extent the public are getting what they want which seems daft given all the negative media coverage.
I had Top gear on - who got voted out please?
John is still there. A lovely mover and I'm all for him.

A dance contest? Purleease. It's a celebrity contest.
Cheri got voted off (her and lisa in the danceoff).

Thanks for the update
Surprised at Cheri but she has been off form recently

Johns comments are right half of the vote is the public and they like him!!!! Wether or not her can dance but would you vote your grandad off cos thats what we all see him as!!
jno

At least the celebrities are dancing. And some of them do it rather very well
I'm glad he isn't my grandad!!
He should be ashamed that good dancers are being voted off and not him.
This is a dance comp and for all you out there who thinkhe is a sweet pussy cat....ask someone who has worked with him!!!!!!
The sooner he goes the better.
The argument seems to be that it is an entertainment show and not a dance contest. Personally I don't agree with that, but if that's what other people think of it fine.....

But what I don't get is how people find John Sargent entertaining? It is pretty embarrassing if anything, not in any way can it be construed as entertainment on any level.

I think last week we lost the last of the dead wood (Heather Small) but it has now started to effect people who really do have a genuine chance of winning the competition.

The public are keeping John in the competition just to spite the judges who have made it clear they don't want him there. Granted he isn't the best dancer but the public are entitled to spend their phone money whatever way they want! Why do they put people like John in these competitions when they know they won't shine like other younger fitter people, previously there was Gloria Hunniford, Jimmy Tarbuck, Willie Thorne, they were all outi n the early rounds, so good luck to John for getting this far! If the public keep voting for him he could win the final!
Good god no he can't win the final there would be an uproar. If he had any sense he should withdraw and not make a further fool of himself .He must be thick to think he has a chance. It is a talent contest not a farce .
Sorry, but it IS entertainment, not simply a dance competition. If it were only the dancing people were interested in there would be no 'celebrities' involved. It's the inclusion of the celebrities that makes it entertainment. Far fewer people would watch the programme if it were only professionals dancing.

Anyway, good luck to John Sergeant. It's not his fault people are voting for him. Besides, at least he's looks like he's having fun and not taking it too seriously. And so what if some actress or singer or model gets voted off? I'm sure they'll get over it. Lighten up, its just TV entertainment!!
I don't believe Strictly or XFactor re talent competitions - they are purely there for entertainment and the 'competition' element just gives the shows more format.

They have replaced the old fashioned variety shows.

If the public like John Sargeant and enjoy watching him then they are at liberty to keep voting for him. None of these celebrities will lose anything whatsoever when they are voted out, and some will have put themselves back in the limelight again. I don't think any of them are particularly bothered about who wins.

It's silly to get uptight about what is purely light hearted good fun entertainment.
Yes I agree it might be light hearted entertainment but good dancers are being voted out and not getting a chance by keeping John in.
It's up to the public though. They obviously want John kept in. The only thing you can do to stop it is not have a public vote - but then they wouldn't have the money rolling in!!

Personally, I think all these shows have lost their appeal now. We need some good old fashioned honest variety shows - too expensive though!
I thought Cherie was stunning last night AND she got a high score. It was the first time I was really impressed by her. What a travesty she had to go. Guess she went out with a bang and not a whimper though!
Hi Lofty.... I agree with you. It's the same with X Factor and I suppose we'll all be having this conversation about I'm A Celeb in a few days. At the end of the day it's just a money making racket from all the phone ins. If people refused to pick up their phone they would have to re-think it.
I actually like John,he's a true gent. but if the producers were concerned about his ability he should NEVER have been invited to do it. Now he has proved to be extremeley poplular with the public and the good dancers are being voted off they have now been seen to have shot themselves in the foot big time, home goal etc etc.
I really hope he makes it to the final and wins. GO JOHN BOY x x
