On Saturdays X Factor I was suprised by what Alexandra Burke said at the end of her spot.

During her spot there was a point where she threw a dancer down the steps.

When being interview by the host Dermot O'Leary she said "I always wanted to throw a man down stairs", everyone laughed of course.

I wonder what the reaction would have been if a male had said "I always wanted to throw a woman down stairs?"

aog I thought that as well actually, odd thing to say on TV!
so did I actually, I must admit I did think 'double standards'. I didn't really find it funny either.
Agree with you aog,but that woman could talk shut up ffs!!
Women are more delicate then men, we have to have the babies you know! ;)
Has everybody lost any sense of humour, you can't fart nowadays without somebody complaining.!!!!
Noticed that as well! you have to be careful what you say on telly radio etc as every word is monitored and used for debate! It may have been said in"jest" But wrong type of expression!! People do say things of "the cuff" but on telly etc you have to be one step ahead and think before you speak!
...surprised the Daily Mail haven't chosen it to be outraged about yet.
Did the guy have to have a xray factor
I didn't think anything of it - and i still don't now people have pointed it out. If a man said it, that would be tactless, but equally possible in a 'live' situation when people don;t always think ahead.
Gosh - are you one of those people who write in to Points of View too?????
