ITV Nuclear Drama

I think this ITV Drama was shown in late 80's, ealy 90's. It reveolved around the build up to a nuclear conflict, following the lives of various people during the build up to a potential nuclear war. Any ideas?

I think you are talking about Threads. Set in sheffield it was pretty horrific. It was more mid-80's than late and there was an American film on a similar theme calle The Day After. Both, many feel, contributed to the scaling down of the Nuclear arms race.

Thanks. No wasn't Threads, think that was BBC.... My only memories of this drama were two guys sitting on a beach in deckchairs waiting for an attack; a young lad being shot after martial law was dec;ared for looting and the fact that "Neighbours" was being transmitted 24 hours a day during the crisis. NO nuclear attack happened in the end though..........
