Diana Vickers on X factor

I was online yesterday and I noticed some message boards on websites about people being annoyed with that claw thing she makes when she sings and I just thought to myself WHO CARES. whats the big deal what she does with her hand. Its a singing competetion not a hand movement contest.

This really annoyed me because I like diana she seems really sweet and I think her voice is brilliant.

I must admit I do think she is pretty and I love the way she dresses. And I do like the bare feet look too.

Rubbish put on "voice" hence the laryingitis (who gets laryngitis and recovers well enogh to sing after a week)

Could anyone honestly say that they could listen to an album of her????

As for the bare feet, Im sure Sandie Shaw did it 40 years ago yawn.

And as for X factor being about talent, anyone with half a brain cell would know thats it isnt, case in point:

you say sandi shaw did the feet thing 40 years ago but Joss stone also sings with bare feet and she is only about 21 years old and a singer from these days.

also why call daniel fat. He as been kicked out now so its not like he can win.

fabemmy, I am sorry you think that Diana has a good singing voice and equate her still being in the competition to that.

If singing won the X factor Rhydian would have won last year but Scotland chose otherwise.

Look at the history of winners and 'where are they now?'

The losers, and by that I mean those who did not come first, have often been successful.

I think Alexandra will win as I think she has the best voice, but on past voting I shan't hold my breath.

I admit that alexander is a better singer but I think the votes go on what type of person the contestants are, Like for example diana looks like a kind sweet girl and JLS always look down to earth on the show.

I would rather someone who was down to earth and not the best singer in the world to win rather than a person who is brilliant at singing and a snob.who loves themselves.

I just think it's a shame that the winners haven't always won because they are the best talent in the competition.

If you watch all of their performances at the secret gig on youtube they are all clawing away - not just Diana.

that diana bird can't sing for toffee she's a fake copying various animated styles of several other original and relevent singers from the past 40 years, not least Billie Holliday, anyway, she'll sin cos Cowell sees a money spinner and as i have said, it's like the kings new clothes, the trendy folk won;t admit they've been hoodwinked

Hi fabemmy, I agree that shows like the X Factor are not purely all about talent they have to be about likeability as well or the public would never buy their records. Previous contestant Chico stayed far longer than his talent (or lack of) deserved, but I was one of the ones that loved him and really enjoyed his performances!
Personally I am expecting Diana or Eoghan to win, but unfortunately I don't like either of them! Eoghan has a very weak voice that Simon has found a way to hide each week but putting a large backing chorus behind him. Diana is quirky, but nothing new, her style of singing has been done before, she has quite a weak voice that seems to struggle to hold onto some of the notes.
Even when some very talented singers win, it seems that it is not definate road to success either as I feel that Shayne Ward has one of the best singing voices that I have heard, but where is he nowadays?
Good post, you are the first that I have found in support of Diana, all the others that I read can't stand her!

Diana is awful...I've said it once and I'll say it again....Brush her hair, teach her how to pronounce the word "you", give her a pair of shoes or she'll catch laryngitus(oh yeah she already did...apparantly), teach her how to sing rather than wail like a toddler and clamp her (insert swear word here) left hand to her hip. If Simon Cowell can manage that then I'll be seen on next year's auditions in the nude!
