Comedians?

Would anyone agree with me that both Ricky Gervaise and Steve Coogan are the least funny excuse for comedy actors that Britain has ever has the misfortune to present to the general public?
Planting grass seeds and watching them grow is definately more entertaining.

I wouldn't, and a seriously large section of the TV viewing community wouldn't either.

Their comedy may not be to your taste, but it would be impossible not to call what they do 'comedy'.

However, personal taste is what makes life interesting. For instance, I know people who's opinion I would respect in almost all other matters, who seriously believe that Whitney Houston sings with emotion!

Ricky Gervaise can be really funny but definately not all the time and same for Steve Coogan he's better as a character than himself he's not a good stand-up. Humour is definately personal choice though our household can never agree!! x

I have to be one of the few people who didn't find "The Office" amusing - I don't "get" Ricky Gervaise - I didn't find "Extras" very funny either. Oh well - each to her own!

Steve's OK, I suppose. I find his characters sad rather than funny, though.

Ricky was OK in The Office, but then when he began to play other roles, every character he played seemed to be David Brent. Even when he was interviewed, it was like David Brent being interviewed.

For all that, I wouldn't class either of them as the 'least funny excuse for comedians', though. That accolade must surely go to Chubby Brown.

I like peter kay and people who talk about real life funny things you can relate to. You know, when you have been ther yourself.

ricky is an acuired taste i think.....i like him, but much perfer teh likes on lee evans, frankie boyle etc....

Wel;l I have to say that I find them both to be comedy genius. I hate other things many people find funny and I will not have Billy Connellys name mentioned in my house. So its horses for courses as they say

in my opinion they're both very talented. steve coogan's a talented actor but has had some misses with some of his characters. saxondale and partridge were genius.

I agree wakeover, I don't find them funny either and I would also add Matt Lucas and David Walliams to that list.

Yeah he's brilliant. As is Steve Coogan. Probably the finest of contemporary modern talent.

Horne and Cordon. Fantastic actors in Gavin and Stacey. In their own show: So much hope ... so much disappointment. At the end of their show I felt glum instead of gleeful. Surely they are "the least funny excuse for comedy actors ...". Have seldom seen anything so comprehensively unfunny (apart, perhaps, for an episode of "Two Pints of Lager..").
