Just watches episodes 3 & 4 from the first series (never saw it first time around) and was wondering whether the Church is supposed to be a Catholic or a Protestant one? Thought the "Father" in the Church was Protestant, then when he got upset and raised his voice etc I wasn't sure. Does anyone know?

I don't think it is specified in the script but it looked like a protestant one to me

It did not have an altar or a sacristy lamp so it was not a catholic church
