I have just been buying online tickets for Nashville Nights & Dixie Days - (not for me - for my mum & dad, honest) for Princess Theatre in Honeystanton. Going through their line-up of coming events I espied that Dr Feelgood are performing there on Valentine's Day.

I didn't realise they were still together / re-formed etc. Oh, memories of Milk & Alcohol back in the mid-70's. Anyone else with fond memories of them?

I don't know whether it's the original line-up, but they do look pretty age-d on the publicity photos!

n.b.: I was only in my mid-teens!
sounds like a carry on character
Wilco Johnson is still performing, with a couple of the Blockheads. Seen them many times with blokes with beards who drink beer & still wear the same fashions from when they were 20....tour T shirts, leather jacket & Doc Martins:-)

Sounds like a doctor I once knew... women always trotted out of his consulting room with a spring in their step. "Knees up Mother Brown" was his catchphrase (yes - gynaecology was his special interest".

A randy old goat, but got away with it because of his charm.
Oi !! Dusty, who are you calling an old timer:-(
High school then.
Milk and alcohol thats it , there were far better bands then and i gotta say the elvis costello album around that time " armed forces " was very good.
Mny other bands then punk/ new wave / even acdc were good then.
Personally i didnt like feelgood or xtc either.

DID THAT HELP??

I preferred Elvis Costello, Echo & Bunnymen, STranglers etc - but Dr Feelgood bring back happy memories of the Golden Sands caravan park at Mablethorpe which is where me and Lil met two lads from Middlesborough who were fanatical Dr F fans - we were easily swayed at that time. Musical taste came much later...
Canvey Island was a bit of a hotbed for music back then.
