I have two TVs, both connected to the same aerial, the television cable first runs to the bedroom and then into the lounge. If I have the bedroom TV connected to the cable the TV in the lounge does not receive enough signal to get all the channels. This occurs even though the bedroom tv is switched off at the mains, the only way to get a proper signal in the lounge is to unplug the aerial from the bedroom tv... does anyone know why this is, what is reducing the signal by having an off shoot of the aerial cable plugged into an non-operational tv??
Thanks for your help
(plus signal boosters in the lounge don't remedy the problem either)
I'd say the bedroom tv's aerial input has a slightly lower resistance than the lounge one.
get a booster with 2 outputs, put it in the bedroom run the aerial into that and then you have two separate outputs one for the bedroom, one for the lounge that won't effect each other.
