oh righty lol
Eamonn Holmes was born on December 3 1959 in Belfast.
He has three children with his first wife, Gabrielle Holmes, and has one son with his current partner, Ruth Langsford. He has been unable to marry her as his first marriage is yet to be annulled.
It is quite simple . They are both in the public eye - if they were married there would be at least a date of marriage easily found on the internet, if not photos of the wedding itself.
They aren't married but he's hardly the first guy with a long term live-in partner and a child together to refer to her as 'wife' regardless of their legal status.
blooming eck!!!

You live and learn. I had based my answer on hearing them refer to each other as hubby and wife.

Sorry for any confusion
