I have sky + and will soon be upgraded to sky h.d.+ Can someone tellme please what actually happens when the upgrade is done. Do I have anymore holes drilled , anymore cables ? or is it just a case of connecting the two existing cables to a new box? Also is it as good as it says on the box. I have a new Toshiba tele 1080 pixels

Do you need an HD TV for Sky + HD to work??
(Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question, I'm not very tech savvy! lol)
Yes.
Are you sure,knobby?
yes it is yours
I had HD installed over Christmas
They put a new dish up and left me with the old Sky+ box (over a year old)
The hard drive is much bigger, but HD recordings take up more space.
To take advantage of HD you MUST have an HD ready telly
I'm just a bit disappointed that ITV and Channel 5 channels aren't HD (I bet CSI Miami is great in HD)
Anybody know the timescale as to when these will go HD?
(I know ITV is HD on Freesat)

wonder why they put a new dish up ? was yours an ancient one Unc?
Hiya Just William
Nope. The dish was probably only 2 yrs old
But I note that there seems to be an extra wire from the LNB (if that's what it's called)
