Basically, does anyone remember a childrens mystery/education show from the early 90s. IT wasnt animated, all I can remember is a concluding episode of the series where they discovered an old man had been illegaly collecting rare birds eggs. Also I think one of the characters names were Jackie (she was a girl). Oh yeh, there were 3 kids if I remember rightly.

You can read about Geordie Racer here and you can listen to the theme tune by loading up this page.
I remember this programme, it was called Sky Hunter and was originally shown in the 1970's as part of the Look and Read school programme and was repeated in the 90's. It starred Geoffrey Bayldon (Catweazle) as Mr Trim. Here is part of the plot outline described on the Look and Read cbbc channel.
Three kids - Jackie, Butch and Trevor - holiday on a boat on the Regent's Canal in London. They spot a peregrine falcon (which was a rare bird at the time) flying about and also meet a pair of daft crooks ***'** trying to nab it. They confide in their friend Mr Trim, who runs a local junk shop, and together they go to investigate. Unfortunately Trim turns out to be the mastermind behind the illegal bird trade in the area.
