It's a bit simplistic but the idea's not bad and it's certainly watchable. Personally I'm not mad keen on it but would chose that over sex and the bloody city any day of the week.
I think the problem is that it works in theory but it's just a bit too 'happy' for me considering the sub plot but a friend of mine does say it gets a bit darker.
It's about one of those Darren Brown type characters... You know, studies and observes a person and uses tricks of the mind and hypnosis etc... He's a consultant for a police force but previously he'd been one of those television preachers (a very successful one). While he was a preacher there was a serial killer going about and he used his skills to divulge some information about said serial killer on TV and subsequently his wife and child were murdered. He stopped being a preacher and eventually came in to the police as a consultant with the main aim to be finding the killer.
So the idea is interesting but it's just a bit too 'happy' in how the series is portrayed. You'd need to watch it I think to understand what I mean because I'm doing a useless job of explaining it!
Its not bad, I've watched the first few episodes and its interesting but as china says it can be a bit too "happy" (and china you did a good job explaining it!!).
The first few episodes are worth the watch. I wasnt totally addicted to it, but its one of those series where you need to watch a few in order to really get into it.
