Angel

Does anyone know what has happened to the series Angel on channel five ? It seems to have disappeared from the listings and my Tuesday night is not complete without my helping of Angel. Has the series ended and no-one told me or have channel five stayed true to form in getting people hooked in watching uncharacteristically (To Channel Five) great programmes only to axe them halfway through ? Okay , I know it's a bit of a naff series but hey , it's a bit of escapism !!!

Season 4 ended with the team being given W&H, and Angel seeing Connor with a normal family. So in short, C5 have stopped showing Angel until they can get hold of the fifth and final season. Hope this helps/made sense.
Thanks everyone. Yes , that's the episode which I saw last Troy. Didn't think that that was the ultimate episode of Angel because it didn't tie up any loose ends but then if the rumours which I have heard are correct , then the final episode which was shown in America didn't tie up any loose ends anyway. Perhaps paving the way for special one off episodes or films ? Here's hoping that channel five will be able to get their hands on the final series then because I am absolutely hooked now. Is the final series available on dvd then rfdgirlp ? It's always the way with me , just when I seem to get right into something it gets pulled from the schedule. Typical !
I think the final season is on VHS, and I've heard it'll be released on DVD next year. Having said that, if you want it on DVD, you may want to wait to see whether all 5 seasons are released in a big boxset. They've done the same thing with Buffy. And enigma, you're right. The final episode (S5 finale) of Angel does indeed leave things up in the air somewhat.
Thanks Troy. I think I will hold fire just now and wait to see if it is released in a big box set as you suggested. I take it from your answer that you have seen the final episode then ? I'm half tempted to ask you what happens but please don't tell me as I will just have to be patient and wait to see it for myself. It's not the same if you know what's going to happen in advance. So for now I am putting my hands over my ears and saying la la la can't hear you to anyone who tries to tell me what will happen !
You're right Enigma, I got Sky a few months back, and just stumbled across the final episode. Of course, it didn't make a great deal of sense as I didn't - and still haven't seen - the rest of the installments preceding it. I can say there are some very familiar faces, and something quite strange has happened to one of the cast. I'll say no more.
