I'm thinking of taking up the Sky+HD offer. The small print on their terms and conditions is bafflingly complex. If I cancel after 12 months what functions do I retain? I dont mind losing the HD function but woud i lose all the recording functions as well (and only retain Freeview to view)? They seem paranoid that you must retain a phone connection and there are penalties if you unplug it. Is that so they can switch everything except Freeserve off?

I believe you would lose the "package" you must take when opting for Sky HD, you then would also lose the recording feature and not every programme is HD johnny, are you currently a Sky subscriber? because if you are, installation is not free to you, and for taking the offer of HD you have to pay 10 per month just for the box, I used to have to do that when I took Sky+ but now that has been dropped so I will wait to see if they do the same with Sky HD, it's a flaming rip-off, I think the package may have to include your Broadband, tele package and phone-line, I hope this helps you a little johnny

I'm not a current customer. Its a good deal if you want to try HD. You do not have to pay for the dish. I was thinking about taking the package and then cancelling after one year. You get to keep the box but its not clear if you lose all the recording functions (for Freeview) as well. There is something in the small print about having to to continue paying a subsription to receive HD. That does not bother me if I can keep the recording functions but thtat is far from clear.

I dont want their broadband as I am happy with my current provider.
