what's the best place to hide 1000 away for a rainny day? I bank with Halifax.....ISA? Savings? Premium bonds

I have all of these and I would say the premium bonds are doing the best for me at the moment, I think they announced a reduction in the prizes given out but mine seem to be doing well, then again I have sufficently more than �1,000 invested so I would expect a reasonable return, if things changed and my return reduces, I would move it to bond, as long as I didnt need it for a future investment.
