Derelict land
I own a property which has a garden area at the rear of it which has been divided into two halves. One half of it belongs to me, but the other half is fenced off and consists of a run down derelict garage and a small area of land running alongside the garage.
I have tried finding out who the owner is by having a Land Registry search done but no joy. All I got were details of company name that seems to have moved premises, which has lead to a dead end with my search.
Does anyone know who, if anyone, I can approach with a view to staking a claim on the garage and the land next to it? (If it helps, I am a leaseholder and have owned and lived in the property for 6 years).
I'm very much hoping someone can point me in the right direction!!!

Despite what some may say, You CAN legally claim this space as your own by submitting and application to the "Land Registry".... If you can prove that you have used or had acces to the space "uncontested" for a certain ammount of time (the 6 years you've been there), they will grant you ownship.....
