Lost fairy tale book from the 70s

I had a book of fairy tales when I was a kid back in 1970s (it may have been late 70s/early 80s)
I'm trying to get my hands on a copy but have no idea who the author or publisher is. Here's what I remember:

It had a giant on the cover and he was reading from a giant book to all the other characters who appeared inside. He may have been sitting in a tree.

It had fairy tales such as The Princess and the Pea, Chicken Licken, The Steadfast Tin Soldier, Pied Piper of Hamlen, and one with a golden ball in a pond. I think that one was called the Frog Prince.

It was quite a big book (or seemed like it at the time). Does anybody recognise this, or know good sites that might be able to identify it? I've tried one so far (Loganberry Books).

I'd really appreciate any clues you may have.

I thought it might be this one, its quite a big book but i was wrong sorry it has a mermaid on the front The Complete Illustrated Stories of Hans Christian Anderson

Sounds like one of the "Wonder Books". Lots were published in the 1930s and I seem to remember seeing one like this. E-bay is a good source for these or
try the Children's Bookshop. If you e-mail [email protected] and describe the book she will try to find it for you.
