Once again there`s an act that comes on...this time 10yr old Holly Steel and she starts off with her dull ballerina act and Simon Cowell is just about to buzz her then she starts singing and his hand stops and his eyebrows go up as if to say " Wow ..what a voice"

He did it last week with the kid who started off singing Valerie and he stopped him and asked him if he could sing anything else

These are obviously pre planned, anyone else agree?

Hi Elvis, Yes I agree..it is so obviously staged so to speak...I do enjoy Britains got Talent and X factor but I find that once the Audition part is over It all gets a bit boring and tedious...X factor is for Singing..Britains Got Talent should think about letting a Non Singing act through this time...Some of the Street Dance acts are great..I liked Diversity...for example...

It's all getting a bit old hat and repetative, specially when we start hearing about the sob stories behind each act that gets through to the final stages...
Every ne has a sob story if we delve deep enough..Iv got plenty..lol...

But Yes, Elvis, I do Agree...
I thought the same ELVIS,

What a fix, and I am getting fed up with the whole show now and also getting bored with that hairy women from Scotland in the papers everyday.
Wasnt that the whole point of peter kays britains got a pop star jesus christ super star on ice thingy?

He was takin psss , whilst pointing out how far acts and presenters will go for viewing figures.
Couldn't agree with you more Elvis and clydeserani, my 9 year old even says...oh look Mom theres a sob story now, bet they will get through!

Yes, so staged and I usually do lose interest after the auditions on both.

I was watching it with my missus last week and when the kid singing "Valerie" was stopped and asked if he could sing anything else I said straight away that it`s a fix and then... hey presto...he`s got a back up song already on the tape recorder backstage..she sat there eyes gaping like the dullards in the audience mouthing "Oh my god"...and then he goes and belts out a blinder

Why didn`t Simon Cowell and Co ask him why he sang Valerie so sh!te?
Hey Elvis. Folk are getting wide to it now..don't you think...according to the press..not that you can believe much of what you read...that wee guy was specifically asked to prepare two tracks...if its all as surprising as the telly would like us to believe, how would Mr Cowell have even suggested that he sing another track..thats not normal in the greater scheme of things..Its all a load of ******** if you ask me, but hey what the hell. it brings in the viewers. My God there are still people out there who think that the WWE wrestling is real...lol....
I know several peole who auditioned this year and they all had real talent, then you look at some of the acts that went through to the TV show and think,,,WTF......I read a great book by Ben Elton recently that summed it all up...cant remember the name of it off hand but, hell, he had the gist of it in that book...

I`ve got 2 kids who watch the WWE wrestling and I sit there saying "That`s not real...it`s all acting" and the missus tells me off for spoiling it for them

This year I`m going to spill the beans about Santa and the Tooth Fairy to them lol
Spot on Elvis! We said exactly the same, both acts were pre planned its stands out a mile.
I think it is safe to say that Simon Cowell is very friendly with their agents. The 'undiscovered boy talent' who sang Valerie already has a stage, tv and film career CV as long as my elbow, so not exactly new talent.
The acts that actually get onto the stage in front of simon, piers and amanda have already been seen by another backstage panel - the 3 judges don't sit through all those contestants you see waiting in the foyer area. Thats why the crap acts get through to make the show versitile.

There has to be someone for them all to take the p$ss out of !!
So other people do think the same as me then? :-)

So many times we find out that the so called 'great find' who just wanted a break, has already got an equity card, has already released a CD etc - Ray Quinn has a TV award for Brookside for example and dowdy ol' Susan Boyle already had a CD released and sold, albiet for charity. I have to say though, that Susan has a beautiful voice - sounds even better on the CD :-)

I feel it is really unfair that a handful of acts are given a second chance - if they were bad first time, like the Valerie boy, then maybe it;s because they really aren't that good after all?
Well of course, thats why they go on these shows - then for some unfathomable reason, the great unwashed are suddenly convinced (brainwashed by Cowell????) of their brilliance and buy all the merchandise available. For a couple of years.
