Bizarre Film in 1970's
I am looking for the name and or writer/director of a film, (TV play?), in which the plotline involves a worker falling into the machinery and dying in a chocolate factory. The management don't let on and to their amazement the sales soar.
The owners then decide to put meat into the chocolate but this is understandably a disaster. I think the story gets a little bizarre now and the decision is made to start to put dead people into the chocolate.
Any clues? I think I may be getting mixed up with a Peter Sellers film from the 1960's, but I'm not sure.
The film was set in the north of England and was broadcast during the late 1970's or early 1980's.

At his new job at Butterworth Chocolates, Mr. Farris accidentally knocks several workers into a mixing vat, the contents of which are then sent to market. When reviews of the company's new candy come back, they are overwhelmingly negative, except for the areas that received the 'special ingredient'. Farris soon finds himself assigned the task of obtaining more of the ingredient to satisfy the nation's sweet tooth
