Was it Bellbird? That was on from 1967 to 1977 but I'm not sure where it was based.

 The only one that springs to mind is 'The Sullivans'...I think it was more early seventies though so I could be wrong..

no, neither of them is the show Im trying to remember, both bellbird and the Sullivans were made in Victoria, Coraki is a small town on the NSW north coast, inland from Ballina
