Quality film, lots of bits that make you jump and some very funny bits. Highly recommend it... (going to the toilet on your lonesome afterwards can make you feel a little jittery however).

Oh... And no sign of Brucewhatshisface for the die hard fans that this would make sense to, (evidently not me).

How scary is it? I prefer Walt Disney myself.

Proper scary if you're a wuss like myself... My best mate ended up with a couple of claw marks on his arm because I jumped so much. Fortunately, I think he was too busy laughing at me to notice much.
I went to the cinema a few years back to see The Forgotten with Julianne Moore. Scary as crap. Everyone jumped out of their seats. Fab !!

And yes, I am a complete scaredy cat.....
i'm still going to wait for dvd, if i'm going to scare the cr@p out of myself i'd rather be at home with a magic duvet and the cat

I've not seen that one NM, I think for pure creepyness factor, no one beats the Japanese. They've got it down to a fine art. I still can't watch The Ring on my own (I actually own and have seen it several times) and have never managed to sit through Grudge either... Too scary.

Fluffy - You need to see it on the big screen to appreciate it fully!
fluffy theres apparently a minted copy on mini nova to download for free

allegendly : o)

Groovy?

Have you been spending a lot of time with the office hippy recently my love? I think you'll really like it though, it's a proper old style horror film.

Has anyone ever seen 'Audition' ?

The scariest, wierdest most perverse film I have ever seen
Had me bothered for days afterwards.........:o{
china i have a thing about the cinema and i hate going with anyone else, so horror movies are not an option, i'd rather be at home, at least the cat just sits on my lap and doesn't laugh at me wimpering away under the duvet

My film geek credentials are quite weak when it comes to actual facts... I'm working on it.

Still off the ciggies yes, very dull it is too, (although I don't know why that is as it's not like it takes a very long time to smoke a ciggie). I've not latched on to the other either, I've still got some stuff in my room I was given at christmas! I rarely smoke alone though, I think it might end up going to waste at this rate, I've no idea if it comes with an expiry date.

Just looking at that one Jack, looks fab. There's one I watched with my sister Room 141 or something... Terrifying.

And I saw another (can't remember what it's called) but it was about this shop that had lots of spirits in and was incredibly creepy... The only way to not end up dead or taken over was to ignore the spirits no matter how much they tried to scare you, (and they really did!).

There's another called Dollhouse I think... Not nice.

Japanese horror rules.
I only hired it out because Mark Kermode (the film critic) was on the radio reviewing it and told me that it wasn't 'hide behind the sofa scary'.............HE LIED !!..........uugghhh!
I haven't been to see a horror movie for years....the last one I saw was I think called Death Line and was about this guy who lived in the London Underground and used to pop out to knock off commuters and eat them. At one point I literally jumped out of my seat and screamed................and my drink went all over the guy in front of me.......
I love Horror films, but since becoming pregnant, I felt it wasn't right to go and see any. I know there is no logic or possible truth behind this theory, but I felt violent, horrifying images may transfer to my unborn baby and he might grow up to be an axe murderer.

I would like to see this film, do you think it will be ok for me to go?
Question Author
craft - Not seen that one either but it sounds like something I would do!

Velvetee - Given what you've said about your reasons for not seeing horrors at the moment, (unfounded or not), I would say wait til baby's born. Personally I think you'll be absolutely fine but you sound like you'd enjoy it more if you waited... Although I'm pretty sure that it could set off contractions at some of the scarier bits!
I love a scary film (wouldnt watch em on my own mind), but cant stand blood and gore and snot....nasty.. :-((
