Award-winning prison radio
Electric Radio, the taxpayer-funded radio station (by and for inmates) has won awards at the annual Sony Awards for the radio industry.
Should they even be allowed one?
The prison governor has admitted that it is a "Daily Mail story waiting to happen". But the Mail's coverage of the Sony Awards only mentions Electric Radio briefly at the very end of this report, preferring to comment on celebrities' dresses.

If that makes things easier for the wardens, all well and good. It might also provide an opportunity for some inmates to view alternative careers to a life of crime.
I feel we should be providing training in trades as well, like bricklaying, plastering etc for prisoners, but I'm still of the opinion that some prisoners can be taught a new way to live.
