Is a different actress playing Maria's mother in law? I thought it was one of the Cusak (sp?) family before.

indeed the role used to be played by one of the Cusack clan....but according to digital spy recently she was committed elsewhere at the time of filming.

You & me both mrs c! I only started to wear specs recently to watch the tele, nosey at the neighbours,etc ;o)...I thought they'd warped or something, hehe. At least the new actress looks vaguely similar...usually they're a complete transformation :o)

I agree Robinia. I hate it when soaps change a character for somebody who is nothing like the original.

That young Sugden girl in Emmerdale for example (Victoria). In one episode she was a little girl (not a very good actress). In the next episode she'd changed into a sullen teenager who looks nothing like the original actress. Her personality is completely different too.

I know it's all pretend, but it's so daft.

They did that in Corrie, Sarah Platt changed from a little girl into a pregnant teenager and Tracy Barlow had a dramatic change too lol

I thought sh'e just changed her teeth, (dentures). In The Royal last night Sister Whatshername's mother in Ireland looked like a Cusak.
