Anyone else notice the similarity in last nights episode of Jimmy McGovens "The Street" and the 1950s film High Noon?. or is it only me who is old enough to remember the film..... Great to have this superb series back on our screen after so much cr... we have been served up lately!

I know, I absolutely love this drama! I also remember High Noon with the gorgeous Gregory Peck!

Tizzi247 - sorry to mention this but Gary Cooper starred in High Noon, Gregory Peck hasn't appeared in any versions of it.

Great acting, but the storyline was a bit naff, all that for smoking a ciggy in the toilet

Watching it now. I agree, it's a bit drawn out for smoking in a pub, and a bit silly too - blimey,I have priciples but taking a beating for the sake of them!

Nice to see Archie from Emmerdale though.
