The p in angled brackets is supposed to start a new paragraph and the nbsp (preceded by a & and followed by a ;) stands for non-breaking space to force a certain number of spaces. HTML treats any number of spaces as one space, so if you want to force, say, five spaces, you have to put in five lots of them. The fact that you can see the letters in the questions rather than their intended effects shows that something's, erm, gone wrong :O)
