hi im stuck in a dead end job and really not happy,
ive been looking into getting my HGV licence and hopefully becoming a lorry driver.

at this time because of the recession and all the other stresses of life is this a good route to take?

is there work out there for lorry drivers and i was wondering is there any way of getting possible fianance to fund my licence as its expensive which i could pay back in time?

well thanks.

All I know is we've had quite a few difficulties getting hold of decent agency drivers for our book buses (they require LGV licences). The good ones don't stay long - they go off and get permanent jobs, so there must be something in it.

Our current man is a very charming, hard working and skilled Slovakian guy. Just hope we can hang on to him!

Many years ago, my husband took out a loan to pay for his training. Would that be a possibility for you?

Might be worth having a look around the RHA website.
