Who plays the lady who comes to see Dot about Jim returning home? I am sure I have seen her somewhere before, I remember her lisp.

Thanks, seems she has been in several bit parts.

She reminds me of the lass in Crossroads (years ago!) who was married to the painter/decorator (with the big hair ) and whose Dad (bit of a pompous old git) got run over coming back from the bowling club. Think the family name was Brownlow - was she called Glenda?? She had the same "bob" style haircut and the faint trace of a brummie accent.
