Something for the Weekend Replaced this morning.

Woke up this morning and switched on BBC2 to watch Something for the Weekend which I enjoy, to find it had been replaced by a Marathon from Berlin, or wherever the athletics is from!! Boring boring boring! Women running, with boring commentary, and shots of buildings and tarmac taken from a helicoptor. Now, I enjoy The Great North Run and even the London Marathon when they are on, but why do they take off a very enjoyable programme to replace it with what must be, a minority watched sport? Why don't the powers that be put something like this on one of the lesser channels like BBC3 or 4 which are available to all and can be viewed by lovers of Marathons, without denying the majority of viewers the programmes they enjoy? Grr.

It's part of the World Athletics Championships that has been shown all week (have you not noticed the hours of coverage on BBC2?).
