I am compiling some thoughts on Christmas traditions as part of a family project and would appreciate some help.

What is your all time favourite Christmas movie and why? Is it a tradition that you watch it during the holidays or is it just a nice movie? What message does it portray to you?

Scrooge (the musical) with Albert Finney. My family watch this most years, and as close to Christmas Eve as we can. We have watched it so many times we all join in with the singing!
It's a lovely story, and just goes to show that no matter how old you are, you can change for the better.
:-)
A Christmas Story. It's about 2 young brothers and a group of friends and it follows them through the last week at school, the main character Ralphie wants a Red Rider rifle for Christmas and all the things he goes through to get it, it's absolutely brilliant, we discovered it about 15 years ago during school holidays (summer no less) and every year since then me and my two daughters (son lost interest) watch it a couple of days before Christmas Eve and eat mince pies and chocolates, it still hasn't lost its appeal, if you find it in the video (dvd) store, rent it, you won't be disappointed. It reminds me of christmasses past with my family (before I got married).
It's a wonderful life. My OH bought it for me a few years ago as he was amazed I had never seen it. Become a firm family favourite and has to be watched with a tin of Roses and hankies.
Scrooge is my favourite, the old one with Alistair Sims. It's the only film I can watch over & over again.
