I have had a Toshiba TV for many years that has the facility to plug in 2 speakers to the back to supply surround sound. As this TV is getting old I am looking to replace it and liked the look of the Sony Bravia, however when I visited the local Sony centre they advised me that none of their current range of sets had this surround sound facility, and also that as far as they knew none of their competitors offered it either.

Does anyone know of a current TV that offers this facility as I have become used to having a variety of sounds including Stadium which is great for watching sport .

Any help will be appreciated.

I have a Sony Bravia HDTV but no Surround sound only Stereo. To compensate for this I also bought a DVD Recorder Home Theatre System which gives me everything I need sound wise. Modern TV's are so Slimline, I doubt if you could get Surround Sound which would also include a Sub-Woofer (Base) built into the Set.
Best bet is to buy a Sony HDTV along with a Home Theatre System as you may well be able to get a good Package deal from your Sony Centre.
