What did you think of his performance? In my opinion: some people don't know when to retire - hope you were paying attention, Brucie.

I saw him but am furious as somehow sky plus skipped all the dancing-
I must admit that I turned the volume down after the first few notes. Like you say someone should tell him to retire.

Brucie did cut back on the jokes this week. From what he said, they must all be reading the messageboards about the show.
I was very disappointed with Andys` attemp at singing his old favourite, and had to turn him off. A good old has-been.
Everything doesn't have to be perfect - his voice wasn't the best I know but it was still nice to see him and always lovely to see the dancers
Well he must have had the invite from the show. He's advancing in age & the voice weakens, for old times sake appearance. Awww x
Put better than me sachs
I think we had the same sentiments peri x
I'm a wee bit of a sentimentalist when it comes to things like this.
I love Andy Williams , but I felt sorry for him last night, his voice is obviously not as it was - Moonriver is a beautiful song, but last night he murdered it.
I've always loved his voice, it made me feel sad last night to hear how weak it sounded.
I didn't,but thanks to your asking I watched it on BBC iPlayer.
I really rather wished I hadn't.
He is 81 (5 years younger than me),but his voice has not stayed with him.
I found it rather heartbreaking.
Of course nobody will be the first person to tell him so,maybe he should be allowed to stay ignorant and die happy.
I Video'd the prog as I was away, just watched it, oh dear I think its about time our Andy Williams retired to that old rocking chair in the sky....

J
I didn;t watch it for this very reason, i met him in manchester back in about 1974/75, at the old Belle Vue theatre, we saw him twice actually, he was amazing, Very relaxed of course, he sang 'In the Summertime' which was one of my faves. He was charming, very tanned, and gorgeous. I;ll always have that image in my head lol
We turned the sound down after the first thirty seconds - what misguided twerp thought that would be a good entertainment segment on the show? How sad it was - that old guy, on a podium in his slippers, singing out of tune and looking like a wee tortoise. Can't help remembering him in the past and wishing he'd had better advisement from his agent for this gig!
