Multi region DVD
3 Answers
Morning all,
Several weeks ago I asked how I could unlock my Sony HD/DVD player so I could watch Region 1 DVDs. I followed suggested advise and this didn't work. I also contacted Sony and got a very snotty reply! I am now moving onto plan B and/or plan C and would appreciate further advice.
Plan B is to buy a multi-region DVD player, can anyone suggest a make/model? I don't want to spend silly money as it will only be used for Regio 1 DVDs at the same time I do not want the cheapest thing that is hard to operate or poor quality. Is it ok to connect 2 DVD players to the same TV?
Plan C is to buy a laptop and connect it to TV & speakers and be used for music, boring people with holiday photos plus internet. Is it possible to by a laptop that plays Region 1 & 2 DVDs, if so which one?
Many thanks for your help.

thanks.
do you actually have this DVD player which is why you have recommended it or did you search for it. I ask because I also searched for a multi region DVD player and got rather confused. The info/reviews I found for a number of DVD players indicated the player was sold as multi region but the buyer reported otherwise.
