What do people here think about the eventual winner? Personally, I think that the 3 dishes Steve served in the final were worthy of winning as the other 2 made errors whereas his was, as Michel Roux Jr said, just about faultless. I would love to have been able to taste the food he served up as it looked yummy and so much more appetising than Marianne\'s or Daniel\'s. Between them the three chefs did make many mistakes en route to the finals and one has to wonder what food Ludo would have dreamt up had he got further. As it was Steve was a worthy winner and I wish him all the best for his future career.

I agree Osprey. Up to the last part of the show I thought any of them could have won but Steve, as you say, was faultless at the final hurdle. What talent though, all of them. Amazing. Can't see why people want to put themselves under that pressure but there doesn't seem to be any shortage of applicants!
i thought steve should win - until he served prawns to michel roux, complete with veins! He simply shrugged. Unforgivable in my opinion.

Marianne had no chance and i wanted daniel to win. he did better in the professional kitchens, but they never seem to take that into account.
They probably think Steve is more tv friendly and has more chance of becoming a celebrity chef. Saying that he was more experimental and exciting which I think separated him from the rest and he deserved to win I'd say.
