Can anybody tell me why Virgin 1 TV made such a big thing about going 24hrs. on freeview about
2 months ago and now it seems they have gone backwards, I turned on freeview this morning and on
the Virgin channel it stated ''Programmes start at 9am.''

Hi Dothawkes 31, yes my freeview is built in to the TV as well, after the recent upgrade to freeview where
everybody needed to ''retune'' I found that I had lost some channels after I retuned, I retuned again and got them
back again but since then it now seems that Virgin has stopped 24hrs on freeview.
What Channel number do you type in to get Virgin 1 ? If it is 35 then you are watching Virgin 1 + 1 which from 6pm and is not 24 hour. The 24 hour Virgin 1 is on channel 20. I hope that helps you. :-D
I have to say Joe Shmoe that I too have this problem on freeview, channel 20 is virgin 1 but after midnight all
you get is a caption saying '' Virgin 1 returns at 09.am. I keep retuning but it's still the same so I can only asume
that freeview are going backwards.
I do not watch television that late so I was going on what was displayed on virgin 1's epg guide which shows that there are programmes on at these times. but after Sprayer's reply I tried recording a program at 4.35 am . It did not record. This morning I saw the message you have all seen. So Yes it looks as if they have cut down their hours on FreeView . I don't know why though. :-D
