I've been looking without success (I watch UC so know what the picture roughly looks like ) but here is a site of posters http://www.allposters...o-Posters_c27394_.htm of a lot of his works and it gives the titles for each.Feel free to spend several minutes looking through them all to see if it's there.
Thanks Jumbuck, but I went through the whole site, not there. A beautiful picture which I had never seen before. I'll have to keep looking. A single figure, posssibly late cubist period.
I watched the programme, but can't absolutely remember the painting in question, but I think it may have been one of the two on here, listed under the Black Period on the right hand side, either the female nude (the dancer of Avignon) or the one below the bust of sailor or woman
Weird I too remember the painting in the programme because it was so beautiful. A woman, definitely in cubist style, mainly in blues. The answer was def Picasso but I have trawled through google images and can't find the picture by him or anyone else yet it was stunning. Not really into art but looking through Picaso's stuff how did he ever have time to eat, he seemed to have painted hundreds.
