How do you find the bit-players in Casualty?

Who played the policeman in Saturday's Casualty, who misled Selena? A friend said he played Jez in Coronation Street and I said he was someone else.

The character that played Jez was Lee Boardman.  The actor that played the part of the policeman is welsh and he starred in the HTV series Nuts and Bolts, he played the part of Lip, but unfortunately I do not know his name.

Just remembered he was in another welsh series called The Bench and his real name is Roger Evans
