What was the film his look a like was in, he died about 4-5 years ago..

I immediately thought of John Candy who starred in such films as Uncle Buck;The Blues Brothers and Cool Running to name but a few. When I checked on IMDB I discovered that he died in 1994 and I was amazed that it was that long ago. If you go to that site and look at his photograph then you'll know one way or the other.
