Is Lucozade addictive or bad for you?
15 Answers
I have drank 1 bottle of Lucozade 330ml every day for the last 4 months. For some reason its now the first think i think about when i wake up and can't wait to get to work and have one. I have tried going without one for the day but always give in in the end. I have looked on the internet to see if this is bad or addictive but not found anything. I have no side effects but as i work in the hospital people/doctors are telling me that its not good for me but can't really say why. I have a balanced diet, reasonable fit, 5"8in and 72kg. Im off to go have one now. Hope you can help.

I'd get your blood sugar checked, as the need to drink it is poss a warning.
Are you drinking other than lucozade and more than normal, (in other words a thirst)? Also are you going to the toilet a lot more than uaual?
You should stop now as it looks likie your heading for Diabetes, so stop it now! You do not want to start that.
Although it states glucose you must remember that there are hidden salts etc to make you want it.

Thanks for your answers. Yep i have had a blood sugar level test done after i drank 1lt bottle of the stuff and it read 7.1,which is normal level, but not a normal level for someone who has just drunk that ammount of lucozade if you know what i mean. My dentist has not got a problem with it as im drinking it quickley and i im not putting any wait on as i walk a lot of miles each around the hospital. I do wee alot on the odd day but not all the time, nothing alarming, but i drink a lot of water throughout the day so thats normal. I just have to have my "fix" of lucozade original at 10am. My mum developed diabeties late in life but that was just because she was fat. (love you mum)
