A song with either the word "policy" in title or group name

Listening on the radio on JackFM in San Diego, I heard a song, believe it's alternative (not really my forte), but I was able to sing along and when I glanced at the readout for name and group, the only word left was "Policy". I know it's not "Policy of Truth" by DM, so any other hints appreciated. Not much to go on, the music was probably from the 80's, early 90's, alternative so DM as the group wouldn't have suprised me (or The Cult, The Cure, The The, you get it!) The group could also have the word "Policy". Thanks for your help!! It's been driving me nuts!! Yeah, I have A LOT of time on my hands now!!
