I once read that the BBC banned 3 episodes from the original series in the early seventies because they said they were too upsetting for the viewers. Is this true? And have these episodes been shown since? Come on you Trekkies! Let's have an answer!

I was gonna make a cheap joke and say they featured Alan Hansen and were subsequently banned, but i'll refrain

apparently the episodes have been shown since. one was called miri I think, one was banned because ohura was whipped to near death and I cant remember the 3rd one
miri was banned because the aliens put an explosive device around miri's neck and blew her up

''mainly hoping they'll get removed as they are boring anyway''

Please explain why they are stupid? If you can provide some kind of evidence to back up your theory that would be just dandy...
I remember the Hansen incident
proof please guys about the lovely mr hanson
Dunno whats going on with alan hansen, have to look that up.
1 episode was banned because it featured an inter-racial kiss, between capt kirk and lt uhuru. Not sure what year it was made, but it has since been shown.

I'm not sure the episode that featured an inter-racial kiss was banned by the BBC, I think it was in some parts of America that it was banned.
