not dead.
Got into difficulty this afternoon ,just as it was getting dark . My car skidded on some ice slowly into the hedgerow, in a country lane where I had just walked the dog.

Grabbed my mobile to ring a friend -- battery dead, could have sworn it was charged up-- silly me.
Beginning to panic a bit by this time, getting darker by the minute , when I saw a van coming along the lane .
Waved at the van and it stopped , out got two men age late twenties and ask what the problem was.
Explained , they towed me out of the dip , would not accept a monetary gift , wished me a merry christmas and of they went.
When I got home , I was quite emotional at their kindness towards me.
I cannot believe just how fortunate I have been, and to who ever they are the biggest thank you in the world.Brenda.

Its lovely to read these types of stories, especially when the newspapers only ever seem to focus on the horrible things that humans do
