Bamboo

I seem to be having a bit of trouble with frowing bamboo indoors. I have no idea what type of bamboo it is, so don't ask =p.

The label that came with it said to keep it constantly in 1cm-3cm of water all the time in the pot. However, doing my own research I found that some places recommend that the bamboo has time to dry out slightly between each watering.

Lets just say that it's started to get rather bad recently. The ends of the leaves have started to go brown and part of one side has just died off completely.

Could this be due to overwatering?


(oh and don't worry about the dead plant next to it, I was growing a black pine from seed....and suddenly it started dieing. It's now been dead for 3 months and I have yet to move it))

I have to say I have similiar problems with plants and have recently managed to decimate a perfectly healthy Poinsetta in less than a fortnight ( in the bin this morning- it was completely bald). I have resolved to stop having house plants as I seem to be the Grim Reaper of all indoor foliage. Maybe you have the same natural talent as I do!
