I've just picked up on the fact that Angelina Jolie is in the frame for the role of Scarpetta in an upcoming movie.
Any gossip as to who is to play the rest of the characters?
I always saw Marino as a Brian Denehy type character and Benton as Barry Bostwick.
Any Scarpetta fans?
How do you imagine the characters?

i always imagined scarpetta as the woman from the x files - AJ is too young in my opinion.

Brian Dennehey is dead actually, a bout 2 years ago. I've been given both books for christmas but nbot got to them yet as still on The Book of Tomorrow (celia aherne)

Angelina is so wrong for the part of Scarpetta! She should be played by a slightly more mature woman who is of Italian descent,not a young Latina woman! I have read the whole Scarpetta series of books but will not be watching the film.

I know Brian Denehy is dead, that's why I said "type character"
I agree AJ is a bit young and isn't blonde, as Scarpetta is supposed to be
I think Charlie Sheen's psychiatrist in 2 and a half men would be good (don't know her name)

nooo angelina wouldn't be right, Glenn Close maybe or Jodie foster. Marino as BD is a good call but i see Benton more of a John Slattery or george Clooney (ok thats just wishful thinking on my part)
